WITSA welcomed more than 500 global AI leaders, innovators, policymakers and industry representatives from over 36 economies to its first WITSA Global AI Summit 2025 in Taipei, exploring the transformative power of artificial intelligence in shaping a sustainable and prosperous future for all. 

Delegates at the WITSA Global AI Summit 2025 benefited from three key values: knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and policy influence.

Key speakers headlining the summit included:

  • Global Leaders: "Power and Responsibility: Strategies to Shape the AI Future": This discussion will tackle the dual imperative of leveraging AI for positive change while ensuring its development is aligned with societal needs. Experts will explore strategies for shaping AI regulation, fostering international collaboration, and embedding principles of access, safety, and inclusion.
  • "AI as a Service: The Foundation of the Intelligent Enterprise": This panel will examine the evolution of AI into a scalable service model. The discussion will cover how organizations can leverage AI-as-a-Service to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and drive growth, while navigating challenges like security and workforce adaptation.
  • "Trustworthy AI: Building Confidence in the Intelligent Age": Focusing on the ethical deployment of AI, this session will highlight strategies for mitigating bias, enhancing security, and fostering transparent governance. A key topic will be ensuring trust and accountability as AI systems become more deeply embedded in critical decision-making processes.
  • "AI Empowering Health: Transforming Care in the Intelligent Era": This panel will delve into AI's revolutionary impact on healthcare. The summit also presented the Memorandum of Understanding between WITSA and host organizer TISSA, witnessed by the Minister of Digital Affairs, to collaborate in the development of a Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ecosystem Network for Taiwan.
